Water / Sewer Utilities

Billed Quarterly:

January 1 – March 31	Due: April 20
April 1 – June 30	Due: July 20
July 1 – September 30	Due: October 20
October 1 – December 31	Due: January 20

Penalties are imposed on unpaid accounts and they are in danger of disconnection if not paid.

If disconnected, the service will NOT be restored until paid in full.

A reconnection fee of $50.00 will be added to the amount due. Checks returned as insufficient, will be charged a $25 fee.

Residential Charges: NEW RATES EFFECTIVE September 26, 2023

Water= $37.55 minimum plus $7.64 per 1000 gallons

Sewer= $95.06 minimum plus $10.14 per 1000 gallons

LANDLORDS- Must notify the Village Office if they choose to have their water/sewer utility bill mailed directly to their tenant. In the event of non-payment, the Property Owner is ultimately responsible for the balance due on the account.

Leaves, Branches & Yard Waste

The Footville Public Works Department

WILL ACCEPT YARD WASTE IF:

Waste is in a paper yard-waste bags and set near the road
Branches are smaller than 3 inches in diameter and less than 4 feet in length

WILL NOT ACCEPT YARD WASTE IF:

Bags contain cans, bottles, or animal waste
Larger branches are not cut down

DO NOT rake leaves or grass into the street.

You may take these same articles to the compost area located at 280 North Gilbert Street (just north of the Fire Department)

DO NOT leave garbage, large logs or building materials at the compost area. If items other than branches, leaves and grass clippings are dumped at this site, the DNR will close it.

The compost area is for village residents ONLY.

If you know of others using the site or persons using it improperly, report them to the Orfordville Police Department or to a Village employee. Anonymous tips are welcome!

If you need a receipt, please enclose a stamped, self-addressed envelope. Also include the parcel number with your payment.

Real estate taxes must be paid in full on or before January 31 or if in two installments, the second is due on July 31.

Personal Property Taxes are due on January 31.
